Neuromarketing Conference features top international speakers

Registrations have opened for the 2009 Neuromarketing Conference which will take place on Thursday, 5 November at the SA National Museum of Military History, Johannesburg.
The conference attracts some of the biggest names in the local marketing and market research communities with well known speakers in the line-up:
• Birger Jan Olsen
An entrepreneur and seasoned marketing expert, Birger brings 27 years of business experience to Mindmetic. His successful communications agency has been serving international clients in the medical and pharmaceutical industries for more than a decade. He built one of the world's first intuitive ASP-based e-marketing software applications, and also patented a medicine for the treatment of stress related insomnia.
• Greg Ward
Greg Ward is a Full Member of the Market Research Society with 25 years experience in the industry.
Greg is a regular speaker, and writer, on research panels and advanced techniques. Greg is a true research innovator with particular strengths in continuous panels, internet research, and complex modelling. He has spent the last 8 years in online research working at YouGov, where he was MD in charge of Brand Index, and at GMI, for whom he set up and managed their European operations. Before that he established then sold his own agency (Aquiduct) which ran online panels and in-depth analytics for clients such as P&G and Wrigley's.
His early career was spent at Taylor Nelson Sofres, where he rose to Development Director and was MD of its SMARTBase Development Division, and at AGB Research where as General Manager for FMCG he was on the senior management team that launched Superpanel - the world's most intensively validated consumer market measurement tool.
• Noel Coburn
A Director of Caxton - he has recently started to integrate findings from neuroscience (how, when and why brains process advertising) with some of the biggest consumer behaviour studies carried out around the world
• Andy Rice
Marketing strategist and consultant

New business development, Nielsen
The conference will feature presentations that demonstrate the immense implications for Marketing in general, and Advertising in particular.
Martin Lindstrom, the brand futurist who was rated by Time magazine in 2009 as one of the top 100 influential thinkers, has had a huge influence in the adoption and development of Neuromarketing.
This conference aims to explain and explore this topic with South African marketers and advertisers for the first time.
